Rishi Narain is India’s foremost authority on golf — a gold medalist at the 1982 Asian Games and former All India Junior and Men’s Amateur Champion. He was the first Indian to play NCAA college golf in the USA and now represents India on the Senior Amateur Team.
From 1989 to 1996, Rishi served as Honorary Secretary of the Indian Professional Golfers Association. He has also spoken at the World Golf Forum in Wales (2009) and the Asia Pacific Golf Summit (2009–2015).
Currently, he is Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Golf Digest India, the country’s leading golf monthly. He has authored over 1,000 sports columns for The Economic Times and The Times of India, and runs the annual India Golf Expo — a gathering of over 500 professionals from South Asia’s golf industry.
A seasoned sports marketer, Rishi has sourced and executed more than ₹200 crore in brand sponsorships across professional, amateur, junior, and corporate golf. He has consulted for leading golf course developers such as DLF, ITC, Jaypee Greens, and Sahara Aamby Valley, creating business plans and feasibility studies for several projects.
In 2015, Rishi Narain was named among the 30 Most Influential People in Asian Golf by the Asia Pacific Golf Group, Singapore, and Golf Inc. magazine, USA.
